Camp Foogawhee, a non-profit (boy, is it ever !) organization is dedicated to discovering the wonderful world of outdoor, woodsy living and still have hot showers and a loo ! The camp was founded in 2005 by Michelle (aka Lucy) Bunn and her trusty sidekick, Nancy (aka Ethel) Dunlap. It sits by the gentle, flowing Naches River that has , at times, been known to flow at 11.4 mph - as estimated by George Raft the day Lou's remote controlled airplane fell in the drink. It's a beautiful, quiet place where you can sometimes hear the natives' plaintive cry, "Where the Foogawhee ?"
There are five families within the Bunn / Gopal clan which include three grandchildren called "Camp Directors". It's the intent of this blog to allow people to post their experiences and pictures to share. So...welcome and enjoy the magic that is Camp Foogawhee !
